Our Story

In March 2022 a group of like-minded Jesus-followers decided to start a new kind of church community in downtown Stouffville.  Our community is built around friendship, food and a conversation about Jesus.  We are part of the REUNION network of churches who have their roots in the Be In Christ Church of Canada.

Reunion Stouffville is a continuation of the Heise Hill Church story that began over 200 years ago.  In 1809, a group of ‘Be In Christ’ (formerly Brethren in Christ) families began to meet in each other’s homes.  These families eventually purchased a section of the historic Heise family farm and built a church building that still stands today in Gormley.  For many generations, Heise Hill Church has been a thriving community of Jesus-followers who have made a difference in their community.

When the sale of the Heise Hill property is completed, we plan to purchase a storefront space in downtown Stouffville that will be used to serve the community. #forstouffville.
